Too many mistakes cripple Rockets
Union wins 12-6, breaks losing streak
Morganfield, Ky. (Sept. 12, 2003) - Union County snapped a 14-game
losing streak at home, beating the Rockets 12-6.
Crittenden dominated play most of the first half and led 6-0
at the break. However, Union's ground attack ran over the Rockets
in the last two periods. The Braves scored on their first and
last possessions of the third period.
The Rocket passing game was hobbled by dropped passes and one
key interception. Crittenden had moved to the three-yard line
once early in the game and came up empty. QB Sean Thompson scored
Crittenden's only TD on a second-quarter run.
